The Maritime Knowledge Centre (MKC) does not respond to technical enquiries. All technical enquiries should be directed to the relevant national maritime Administration or to the flag Administration (National Contacts) which are the appropriate channels for dissemination of IMO technical information. Implementation of IMO instruments is also the responsibility of national Administrations. Contact Points are available on IMO's Global Integrated Shipping Information System (GISIS) http://gisis.imo.org/Public/ (Registration is required)

Opening Hours
10 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Appointments are required to visit the MKC. The MKC will be closed to external visitors between Monday 16 December 2024 to Friday 11 January 2025 inclusive.

Access to the IMO Secretariat
Security formalities are in place to enter the IMO Secretariat. Please be prepared by having a valid identification document with you such as a passport, identity card or driving license. Students and researchers should provide a valid student card or a letter of recommendation from their university or institute.
